7:00 am - Began the 8 hour drive from Lincoln, NE to Denver, CO.
2:30 pm - Arrived in Denver! (YEY for time zones!)
3:00 pm - Set up camp at Chatfield State Park. We went to the lake and waded in the water for a little while.
5:00 pm - We went to Sherpa House and had some very tasty Himalayan food.
7:00 pm - THE CONCERT. We got to The Summit Music Hall just as the concert was beginning. Rob Scallon. Andrew Huang. Harry and the Potters. Driftless Pony Club. Hank Green. It seemed somewhat unreal that I was actually seeing all these wonderful people in person rather than on YouTube. This concert was my very first concert, and what an AMAZING concert it was. There was so much talent showcased through out the evening. The concert was absolutely fantastic and was definitely worth the trip.
11:45 pm - I got to meet Hank Green after the show, as was probably inferred by the photo. I don’t remember what I said to him, but with how tired I was from the trip, pumped on adrenaline I was from the concert, and how nervous/anxious/excited I was to meet Hank, whatever I said probably didn’t make any sense or was likely not very intelligent. Regardless, I met Hank Green, he signed my poster, and he took a picture with me.
The concert and meeting Hank Green has definitely been the highlight of my summer so far.
